FAQ for the sharing restaurant uuuhmami Heidelberg

For up to 10 people you can book your table online. Your table is held for 15 minutes after the reservation time — after that we may release it. If your preferred time isn't available, walk-ins are always welcome as long as we have space. Come early — we open at noon on weekdays and at 5 pm on Saturdays.

Groups of 11 or more can find everything they need under Groups.

Yes. We always keep a few tables free for walk-ins. When it's full, it's full — so come early.

To give all our guests a fantastic time, both kitchen and service follow specific processes. Large groups require a different kind of preparation — hence our sharing menus. You have a great time, we handle the rest.

We do our best to accommodate preferences (e.g. a table at the front or on the terrace) — but can't guarantee them. The more notice you give, the better the chances. Come early!

Our kitchen is open Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 2:30 pm and from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. The bar may stay open later — depending on how the evening goes.

Yes. There is a stairlift and an accessible toilet.

Wearing something is definitely recommended. Black tie or jeans — either works. Come as you are.

Owner cool? Dog cool? You're both very welcome. Just be aware that uuuhmami can get a bit lively, which may be a lot for sensitive dog ears.

Yes — free parking at the Landfried complex daily from 4:30 pm for up to 5 hours. Scan the QR code at your table to register your licence plate within the first 30 minutes. Keep the confirmation email.

After booking you'll receive a confirmation email with a button to modify your reservation — as long as capacity allows.

uuuhmami is a cashless restaurant. We accept debit and credit cards, contactless payment (watch/phone), PayPal and bank transfer. Tips go directly to the team member who looked after you.

Yes. The menu offers a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, from burrata to Levante falafel to seasonal specials. Vegetarian dishes are marked V, vegan dishes VG. Take a look at the menu.

Pinsa is a Roman flatbread with an elongated shape: crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. The dough is a blend of wheat, rice and soy flour and is fermented slowly. That makes Pinsa lighter and easier to digest than classic pizza. At uuuhmami, Pinsa is handmade as part of the Open Minded Kitchen.

From Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (DB, S-Bahn, long-distance trains) it is about 350 m, roughly a 6-minute walk. Go through the Kurfürsten-Passage towards Alte Eppelheimer Straße, then turn left. We are at number 50.

The Heidelberg FlixBus stop is just 250 metres from uuuhmami, about a 3-minute walk straight along Alte Eppelheimer Straße. Arrival could hardly be easier.

Sharing means small dishes for everyone at the table, rather than everyone behind their own plate. Our snacks, small plates and larger plates come out so that you can taste, pass around and combine. More flavour, more conversation, less isolation.

The meals we remember are usually the ones we enjoyed in good company. It is the shared stories, experiences and moments. And even those who come alone end up sharing something: an impression, a recommendation, a good time.

Yes. Around 65 percent of our menu is vegetarian or vegan. Sharing works especially well with vegetables, because many small portions allow more variety than one large piece of meat. Vegan is marked VG, vegetarian V.

No. We are a sharing restaurant with Mediterranean roots. Pinsa Romana is on the menu, but as a format for sharing, not as an Italian statement. If you are looking for a classic Italian, Heidelberg has good options. We do something different.

Alte Eppelheimer Straße 50, in the Landfried complex on the border between Bergheim and Bahnstadt. Five minutes on foot from the main station, two minutes from the FlixBus station. Free parking on the Landfried grounds from 4:30 pm after registering via the QR code at your table.
